MC – Rupinder Kaur
Rupinder Kaur currently works for the federal New Democratic Party in Ottawa as a Specialty and Regional Media Officer.
She completed her B.A. (Honours) at the University of Guelph in International Development, and also hosted two radio programs on the campus radio station CFRU. Rupinder then completed a post-graduate program in International Project Management from Humber College, Toronto. She subsequently traveled and worked in the Philippines with the Local Government Support Program, evaluating and monitoring Canadian-funded projects. Rupinder then joined OMNI TV as a reporter for their Sikh news program “Chardi Kala”. Over the years she has been involved with many organizations, including environmental action groups and Sikh-based initiatives with the youth in Canada and the U.S.
