A superstitious belief takes over a drought-stricken village of Punjab. The village Sarpanch (head) promises a feast of rice pudding to all the school children if they sing for rain. The class teachers press on the students to sing as loud as they can, however, one young boy refuses to sing. This short film, shot in black and white, passes on the message that superstition still prevails in rural Punjab, and times of desperation such as a drought compels the community to try all means to change a situation they can't control.
