The Colourful Crown is first and foremost, an exploration of the centuries’ long custom of wearing turbans. Turbans are mostly associated with the Sikh religion, which is a little more over 500 years old. However, the turban has been used by far more cultures, dating back to the time of the Old Testament. The Colourful Crown first delves into the origins and history behind the turban and what it represented symbolically. It then brings the concept of the turban along the lines of Sikhism. Along with that, it showcases the importance of the turban to the Sikh religion and the misconceptions that have aroused post 9/11 violence relating to the turban.

Kalaa & Rabbi Noor for almost five years now.
