This documentary charts the tragic life of the uncrowned Maharaja Duleep Singh. He was the son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh who was known as the Lion of The Punjab. It explains how after being brought to England, Duleep Singh was forced to leave his faith, his Empire and the Golden Throne. It also shows the loss of Kohinoor Diamond and the events that led to the fall of the Sarkar-e-Khalsa (The Sikh Raj).  A Monument of Injustice is not just a Documentary Film, but a document of one of the most tragic chapters of Anglo Sikh History.

Director’s Bio

Professor P.S. Nirola is a filmmaker and a free lance Journalist. He owns his own production company, Creative Vision Films, in India. He is based in Chandigarh and associated with many film societies and forums in India and abroad. He is also an executive member of Indian Documentary Producer's Association (IDPA) in Mumbai and a regular member of Indian Motion Pictures Producer's Association, Mumbai. India.

His most recent film, A Monument of Injustice, has received world wide recognition from all corners of the world. It was also screened at the House of Commons, UK Parliament on 3rd July 2007, apart from other International Film Festivals as well. Recently the Punjabi version of this film has been released.
